Remittance turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia grows by 27.17%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of money transfers between Uzbekistan and Russia grew by 27.17% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2013 – from US$1.38 billion to US$1.755 billion.

According the Central Bank of Russia, total sum of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$1.62 billion soums in April-June 2013 against US$1.273 billion in the second quarter of 2012. The growth rate made up 27.26%.

At the same time, average sum of one operation from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$555 in the second quarter of 2013 against US$542 in the same period of 2012 (+2.4%), the regulator said.

The volume of money transfers from Uzbekistan to Russia rose from US$107 million in the second quarter of 2012 to US$135 million in April-June 2013 (+26.17%). The average sum of one transaction grew from US$1,834 to US$1,903 in the reporting period.

Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Ukraine were the leaders on the volume of money transfers with Russia among the CIS states in the second quarter of 2013.

In the reporting period, the volume of remittance turnover between Russia and Tajikistan made up US$1.09 billion (US$916 million in 2Q 2012) and Ukraine – US$824 million (US$711 million).

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
