Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Registration for the 9th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is open. The theme of the meeting: “Creating a sustainable infrastructure for everyone,” reports the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.

The annual meeting will be held from 25 to 26 September 2024 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

The Annual Meeting, which is the AIIB’s flagship event, provides an opportunity to showcase the Bank’s achievements and receive feedback from shareholders. Serves as a one-stop platform for dialogue, bringing together Governors and delegates from AIIB member countries, as well as the Bank’s partners and clients, business leaders, civil society organizations and subject matter experts from around the world.

Uzbekistan is the founding country of the AIIB, and the Bank’s total investment portfolio in the country exceeds US$3 billion. As part of the three-year investment program signed between the AIIB and the government of Uzbekistan, more projects worth US$2 billion are in the development stage.
