Regional Electric Networks JSC Comments on Power Outages in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In response to the growing number of public complaints on social media and in the press regarding power outages in the capital, Regional Electric Networks JSC has issued an official statement.
According to the company, repair and modernization work is currently underway on distribution networks in Tashkent and other regions of the country as part of preparations for the autumn-winter season of 2025. These activities are being carried out in accordance with national programs and relevant decrees and resolutions regulating the energy sector.
“In order to ensure the safety of workers, scheduled power shutdowns are being implemented in certain districts,” the statement noted. Information about such planned outages is published by the press services of the company’s branches and subsidiaries.
The company emphasized that seasonal preparations are among the highest operational priorities and are being carried out even under extreme summer heat.
The statement also acknowledged that emergency situations may occur in some areas during particularly hot days, which can also cause temporary power disruptions. “Emergency crews from local and city power services are responding rapidly to resolve these issues,” the company said.
Regional Electric Networks JSC apologized to consumers for the inconvenience and announced that it would take additional steps to improve public awareness regarding scheduled power outages.
