Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Reconstruction of the Pakhtakor Stadium in Tashkent is set to begin in 2025, according to the club's chairman, Jahongir Artikhodjaev.

He stated that after the renovations, the stadium will fully comply with the requirements of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

The stadium was originally constructed between 1954 and 1956 under the supervision of architect Mithat Sagatdinovich Bulatov. Initially, it had a seating capacity of 55,000 spectators. However, after renovations in 1996, 2008, and 2012, the capacity was reduced to 35,000.
