Ravshan Irmatov to officiate Netherlands-Costa Rica match
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- FIFA referee Ravshan Irmatov from Uzbekistan has been appointed to the quarterfinal match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil between the Netherlands and Costa Rica.

FIFA adopted a corresponding decision. The match will be held on 6 July (Tashkent time). Abduhamidullo Rasulov from Uzbekistan and Bakhodir Kuchkarov from Kyrgyzstan are assistants of Irmatov.

This will be fourth match, which Ravshan Irmatov officiated in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, and ninth World Cup match in his career. Irmatov also worked at five matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

In the result, Ravshan Irmatov will become the first referee in history of football, who officiated nine matches at the World Cups.

Earlier record was eight matches. The earlier record belonged to Joël Quiniou of France, Benito Archundia of Mexico and Jorge Larrionda of Uruguay.
