Nicola Rizzoli, a 42-years-old an architect from Bologna, will referee the final match between Germany and Argentina.

Many people expected that the Asian referee will officiate the match between European and South American team. But FIFA adopted different decision.

Chairman of FIFA referee’s commission Jim Boyce said that the best referee appointed to the best match. Italian referee will work at the final.

The final match between Germany and Argentina will be held on 14 July at Tashkent time at Estadio do Maracana in Rio De Janeiro. The match will kick off at 00:00.
