Rasul Kusherbayev calls on Uzbek authorities to take action following threats from Chechen leader

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Former deputy and advisor to the Minister of Ecology, Rasul Kusherbayev, has called on Uzbekistan's authorities to take firm action in response to threats made by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, as well as the attempted assassination of Komil Allamzhonov, in which Russian citizens Bislant Rasaev and Shamil Temirkhanov are reportedly involved.

Kusherbayev's stance comes in the context of the investigation into the assassination attempt on Allamzhonov, which may involve Rasaev and Temirkhanov, who are currently wanted. He emphasized the need for clear answers on who these individuals are, where they came from, and how such dangerous criminals managed to enter Uzbekistan.

He also commented on Kadyrov's statement denying Chechen involvement in the assassination attempt. Kadyrov again denied any connection to the incident and warned Allamzhonov and Dmitry Li, head of the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Producers (NAPP), that they should not "play the role of victims."

Kusherbayev believes that Uzbekistan must respond to such threats firmly and decisively. He stated that open threats against Uzbek officials should be treated as terrorism, and those responsible must face punishment. Kusherbayev expressed confusion over the Uzbek government's silence in the face of such threats and questioned how long the country will tolerate statements that undermine its security and national dignity.

According to Kusherbayev, Uzbekistan should respond not just with statements but with concrete actions. He suggested measures such as temporarily halting flights to Grozny, from where the threats originated, and increasing control over Chechens entering the country.

In his Telegram channel, Ramzan Kadyrov commented on the alleged "Chechen connection" to the assassination attempt on former official Komil Allamzhonov. He described the incident as part of a "pro-Western scenario" aimed at destabilizing the situation in Uzbekistan.

"Pro-Western color revolution scenarios always start with small conflicts, and here I can clearly see how information attacks are directed against loyal supporters of the president, against people he can rely on," Kadyrov stated.

He also noted that rumors had been circulating in the media suggesting that the president’s daughter and son-in-law might be vying for power, which he saw as part of the information campaign surrounding the assassination attempt.

Kadyrov emphasized that this incident is being used for hidden political games by certain forces. "As a Chechen, I am not interested in increasing my influence in Uzbekistan. I have good relations with an influential family, and they remain strong, thank God," he added.

He urged members of the Uzbek president’s family to publicly refute the rumors and pointed out that the aim of these manipulations is to destabilize the system and weaken the president's circle.

Kadyrov is convinced that such actions are intended to strip the president of reliable allies and undermine his power.
