Ramil Gayazov becomes flagbearer of Uzbekistan at Paralympic Games

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ramil Gayazov will be flagbearer of Uzbekistan national team at the solemn opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi, a press service of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The Eleventh Winter Paralympic Games will be held in Sochi, Russia, from 7 to 16 March 2014.

Ramil Gayaznov (mountain skiing) and Yevgeniy Slepov (snowboarding) will compete at Paralympics in Sochi. Both of them won tickets to Sochi Games in Landgraf, Netherlands.

The delegation of Uzbekistan will head to Sochi on 4 March. The flag of Uzbekistan will be raised at Olympic Village on 5 March. The opening ceremony will be held on 7 March.

It is expected that over 1,600 athletes from 47 countries will participate in Paralympic Games. They will compete for 72 sets of medals.
