Uzbekistan Railways sent another train carrying humanitarian aid worth 50 million soums to Khorezm region on 3 July. The humanitarian cargo included adult clothes, children’s footwear, bed sets, and hygiene goods.

The train has been sent pursuant to the Presidential Resolutions "On "The Year of Social Protection" State Programme" and "On the action plan on further strengthening of addressed social protection and social servicing of single seniors, pensioners and people with disabilities 2007-2010", and within the frame of the Days of Ecology and Health being conducted by the Ecosan International Organisation.

To ensure the right people receive the aid, the representatives of the Ecosan will personally hand it over to elderly people, pensioners, people with disabilities, needy families and other socially vulnerable groups of population.

Since the beginning of the year, the total of nine trains and road-trains carrying humanitarian aid worth over 435 million soums has been sent to Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Navoi, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, and Ferghana regions.
