Qoqand city declared the capital of tourism of the Turkic world in 2022

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The VI meeting of the tourism ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states was held today, the Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, a lot of important issues were discussed, including about affordable transport logistics, promotion of tourism potential, attention was removed to training personnel in the field of tourism, in-depth study of history, culture, customs, languages.

A decision was made to declare the city of Qoqand as the capital of tourism of the Turkic world in 2022. New hotels and guest houses will be built in nearby cities.

Much attention will also be paid to education. The Turkic Council and Qoqand University signed an agreement on the training of specialists - guides, hotel business at the international level, who will work in travel companies.

“In general, we can say that the meeting was very successful, and we once again want to thank all our guests,” said Aziz Abdukhakimov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan. “Taking this opportunity, I would like to invite all residents of Uzbekistan to Qoqand.”

Indeed, Qoqand is a historical place, for 250 years it was the capital of the Qoqand Khanate, which concentrated culture, education, customs, became the economic and political center of this region. Here you can find a lot of interesting things, learn about our history and culture.

Today, the ministers of tourism of the member states of the Turkic Council also got acquainted with our customs, which will allow us to further promote our tourism potential in the future.
