Putin and Mirziyoyev to Hold Bilateral Meeting at SCO Summit in China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to meet with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in China, according to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov.
RIA Novosti reports that Putin’s visit to China is planned from 31 August to 3 September. He will first participate in the SCO summit in Tianjin and then travel to Beijing for events related to his official state visit to China.
Following his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin will hold a series of bilateral meetings, including one with Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to Yuri Ushakov, the discussions will primarily focus on bilateral cooperation and further development of partnership relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.
