At the same time, a group of people is trying to storm the building of the Auezov district police department in Almaty, Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent reports.
“The police are firing back on the roof of the building, using flash-noise grenades. The police building is located in a residential area of the city, there are many residential buildings around. Local residents are afraid of looting,” the correspondent said.
Blogger Alisher Yelikbaev, who is there, confirmed the information about the fall of the airport. “Now the airport security service told us: “Sorry, the airport has been taken over. There will be no flights today,” he told the Orda channel.
