Prospects for the development of ecotourism in Central Asia discussed at the I International Forum of Media and Tourism

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change took part in the I International Media and Tourism Forum, which took place on 21-23 July in the city of Konaev, Almaty region in Kazakhstan.

About 200 representatives of media and tourism from foreign countries such as Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Switzerland took part in the event, organized by the Public Foundation "Foundation of Turkic-Speaking Journalists" in partnership with the Akimat of Almaty region, the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan , Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Netherlands, Moldova, Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan.

During the event, the Ministry of Ecology, represented by the Minister’s Adviser on Information Policy - Spokesperson Lola Rakhmanbayeva, presented a presentation on the topic "Prospects for Ecotourism in Central Asia", which highlighted the advantages, disadvantages and recommendations for the development of ecotourism in the region.

Also within the framework of the forum, the participants of the event visited tourist attractions and natural sites of Kazakhstan, such as the Charyn Canyon and Lake Kolsai.

The purpose of the forum is to exchange experience, taking into account new processes in the field of media and tourism, expand the information space, implement mutually beneficial joint projects, popularize the historical and cultural places of Kazakhstan in foreign and domestic media, strengthen cooperation and partnerships between media representatives.
