Prospects for innovative investment projects in Uzbekistan discussed in Frankfurt

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting took place at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main with Zaur Bek, advisor to the general director of the Azerbaijan Uzbek Investment Company (AUIC), and representatives of the German construction company Compound Building System (CBS HOME), Dunyo news agency reported.

AUIC, established in 2023 with an authorized capital of US$500 million, is a direct investment company focused on financing projects in various sectors of the economy to promote business development and expansion.

CBS HOME offers innovative technologies for the production of load-bearing structures for construction using recycled and bulk materials. The company’s products are certified as environmentally friendly and sustainable by the Institute of Building Biology in Rosenheim (Bavaria) and are patented in over 100 countries. CBS HOME provides services to developers, architects, municipalities, and private individuals.

AUIC expressed its readiness to participate in financing promising German projects to be implemented in Uzbekistan and presented several investment projects with equity participation.

A representative of CBS HOME also introduced a project for constructing a factory for the production of galvanized sheet steel structures and bulk concrete, which allows for a threefold reduction in production time and saves up to 25% on production costs by efficiently using cement and steel. This project aligns with the goals of environmental sustainability and rational resource use.

During the negotiations, practical aspects of project implementation and breakthrough initiatives in the production of construction materials and the construction of housing and communal facilities in Uzbekistan were discussed.

The parties expressed interest in continuing working contacts and agreed to hold follow-up negotiations after expert review of the technical and economic justification for the selected project. They also reached an agreement to organize a joint visit to Uzbekistan in October-November of this year.
