Prosecutor General’s Office Uncovers Shortcomings in Tashkent Metro Ring Line Reconstruction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A working group led by Transport Prosecutor Ikrom Narimov conducted an on-site inspection of construction work on a section of the elevated ring line of the Tashkent Metro, named "30 Years of Uzbekistan's Independence," the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

As part of the inspection, construction works between the "Technopark" and "Kipchak" stations — covering the first and second phases of the project — were reviewed. Representatives of the project client, JSC “Uzbekistan Railways,” and the general contractor, JSC “Kuprikkurilish,” participated in the inspection.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, deficiencies and errors were identified during the review process. The responsible organizations were given clear instructions to rectify these issues as soon as possible. Authorities also ordered a reassessment of the ongoing construction to ensure alignment with project specifications and timely, high-quality completion.

Particular attention was paid to transparency in the construction process, ensuring passenger safety, and improving the resilience of the transport infrastructure. The Prosecutor General’s Office emphasized that the project remains under the constant supervision of the relevant oversight bodies.
