Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met in Cairo with Khatim al-Manufi, the Managing Director of the Industrial Chamber of Construction Materials of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the construction sector.

The Egyptian side was presented with projects for the production of construction materials in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The Egyptian colleagues showed particular interest in the potential for limestone extraction in the Beruniy and Takhiyatash districts, the production of basalt fiber from basalt rock, and the processing of natural finishing stones.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to conduct further negotiations and discussions on specific projects with companies interested in collaboration in these areas.
