Prpesident of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to further improve the field of information technology and communications”.

The documents should include measures to develop the telecommunications infrastructure and provide the population with quality mobile communications, broadband access to the Internet.

Also, the regions will introduce modern information systems, software products and databases in the field of health, social protection of the population, education, public services, tourism. Projects on the organization of "smart" and "safe" cities and regions will be implemented.

Within the framework of the programs, innovative projects based on public-private partnership will be implemented.

Measures will be taken to expand the system for the provision of electronic public services in the field, especially in remote areas.

Financing of programs and the targeted list of projects is carried out at the expense of Information and Communication Technologies Development Foundation in the amount of up to 5% of the amount rceipts from the payment for use of a subscriber number paid by legal entities providing mobile communication services of the region concerned, as well as other sources not prohibited legislation.
