Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The production of more than 100 types of medicines will be launched in Jizzakh region as part of the Uzbek-Indian joint venture Avantika Shifokor.
According to the Dunyo agency, Shifokor-82 from Uzbekistan and Avantika Medex Pvt. Ltd. from India are building a joint venture in the Zaminsky district on an area of 11.5 hectares for the production of finished pharmaceutical products.
As part of this project, it is planned to invest US$30 million, including US$15 million of foreign investment.
Production will include tablets, capsules, injections, gels and other forms of pharmaceuticals.
It is planned that 70% of the joint venture's products will be exported, and 30% will be intended for the domestic market.
