Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 July, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

President Tokayev warmly congratulated the Uzbek leader on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, family well-being, and continued success in his responsible state activities for the benefit of the multinational people of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed current issues related to the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance.

They expressed satisfaction with the high pace of mutually beneficial cooperation across all key areas. Bilateral trade volumes are growing steadily, and joint projects are actively being implemented in metallurgy, the textile and agricultural sectors, logistics, construction, and other industries.

Special attention was given to the preparation for the launch of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation on the border between the two countries.

The cultural and humanitarian agenda was also addressed. A number of joint events are planned for this year, including youth, tourism, and education forums.

The heads of state also agreed on the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral meetings.
