Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the COP29 summit program in Baku, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb.
The meeting focused on the development of multifaceted Uzbek-Finnish cooperation. Both leaders highly appreciated the active political and inter-parliamentary contacts between the two countries.
To form a new economic agenda, it was proposed to prepare a program for the development of industrial cooperation in areas such as metallurgy, electrical engineering, chemistry, telecommunications, and others.
In this context, the importance of careful preparation for the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission and business forum, which will take place in January 2025 in Helsinki, was emphasized.
Special attention was given to strengthening exchanges in education and ecology, as well as Finland's active participation in the UN Trust Fund for the Aral Sea region.
The schedule of upcoming high-level meetings was also discussed.
