Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in a military parade in Russia on 9 May, the Kremlin press service said.
The event will also be attended by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith and President Republic of Guinea-Bissau Oumarou Sissoku Embalo.
The heads of state, together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, will lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
A summit of the Eurasian Economic Union is also planned on 8 May, which will also be attended by Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Uzbekistan is an observer in the Eurasian Economic Union.
