Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 31 December, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution aimed at organizing strategic analysis and research for the country’s social, political, and economic development, as reported by the Ministry of Justice.
The resolution establishes a Coordination Council tasked with overseeing the activities of analytical and research institutions. The council will provide the president with long-term analytical materials and policy recommendations on domestic and foreign affairs.
The council holds the status of an advisory body responsible for strategic research and coordination across all stages of implementation. The council’s leadership and inter-agency coordination are assigned to the president’s advisor on special assignments, a position held by Sardor Umurzakov since August 2023, who previously led the Presidential Administration.
