Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the sidelines of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Josef Lasselsberger, the founder and CEO of Lasselsberger Group.

Founded in 1957, Lasselsberger is one of the leading European manufacturers of building materials, ceramics, and mineral products, with an annual turnover of US$20 billion.

During the meeting, they discussed the practical implementation of high-tech projects in the construction materials industry. In particular, they addressed projects for the production of dry mixtures and microcalcite in the Samarkand region, as well as marble processing in the Kashkadarya region.

The parties agreed to expedite the implementation of new projects related to the production of high-purity aluminum, meta-kaolin, porcelain stoneware, paints and varnishes, and fiber cement.
