Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the events of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, a solemn ceremony was held to present the highest state award of Turkmenistan — the Order “For Contribution to the Development of Cooperation” — to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the honor, the head of state thanked the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the entire brotherly Turkmen nation.

“I regard this award as a sign of special attention and respect for Uzbekistan and its multinational people, and as recognition of our joint efforts to strengthen relations of friendship, good‑neighborliness, mutual trust, and partnership in the Central Asian region,” noted President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

He expressed satisfaction with the high level of Uzbek‑Turkmen strategic partnership, founded on a rich historical heritage, traditions of brotherhood, and mutual respect. In recent years, bilateral trade volumes have grown significantly, humanitarian cooperation has expanded, and a number of large‑scale joint projects have been implemented.

The President of Uzbekistan particularly highlighted the contribution of Arkadag and all the heads of state of the region in advancing cooperation in Central Asia, emphasizing that the international community now recognizes the collective success achieved in shaping a new model of regional partnership and regional identity.

In conclusion, Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again expressed gratitude for the honor and congratulated the brotherly Turkmen people on the successful hosting of the UN Conference, wishing them success in preparing for the upcoming global summit in Ashgabat this December, to be held within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
