Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his official visit to Paris, a solemn ceremony was held to award President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Legion of Honor, France’s highest national distinction.

French President Emmanuel Macron personally presented this prestigious award to the Uzbek leader, recognizing his outstanding contribution to the development of Uzbek-French cooperation, the strengthening of friendly ties, and mutual understanding between the peoples of both countries.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the honor, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the significant progress in bilateral relations, culminating in the elevation of Uzbek-French partnership to a strategic level.

Established in 1802, the Legion of Honor is the highest decoration of the French Republic, symbolizing recognition of exceptional merit and outstanding achievements across various fields.
