The guest conveyed the heartfelt greeting and best wishes of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to the Turkmen leader and congratulated on success of the forum which became a landmark event of international importance.

Thanking for the cordial wishes Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the best wishes to the President and the people of Uzbekistan and sincere gratitude to the Uzbek partner who were the first to support Turkmenistan’s initiative to enhance the international guarantees of security of transnational pipelines and energy infrastructure.

The sides exchanged views on the agenda of the Ashgabat energy forum in the light of its role in furthering Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation with fuel and energy partnership as a priority field.

Focusing with satisfaction on the commonality of the approaches to implementing the strategy for cooperation in this field the President and his guest reaffirmed the partners’ willingness to further enhance efforts to optimize collaboration.
