At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on expanding social and international cooperation in protection of children’s interests, further develop alternative forms of upbringing children without parents in family, perspectives of training of specialists.
Siddhartha Kaul said that he was happy to visit Tashkent branch of Association SOS Children’s Villages Uzbekistan. He said that all conditions for strengthening health and upbringing children in family were created here.
He highly rated the growth of economy of Uzbekistan in condition of global economic crisis. He praised the Government of Uzbekistan for its support to Association SOS Children’s Villages Uzbekistan.
Association SOS Children’s Villages Uzbekistan is non-commercial and non-governmental charity organizations, which works to provide social protection orphan children. It was founded in 1997. Currently, some 200 children are brought up in family. The association has branches in Tashkent, Samarkand and Urgench.
