President of Kyrgyzstan Meets with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 31 July in Cholpon-Ata, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.
During the talks, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation across key areas, including the economy, investment, and culture. Special attention was given to the implementation of joint projects for the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1 and the Kyrgyzstan–China–Uzbekistan railway.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the fraternal peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have long been bound by common history, cultural affinity, and shared values. He noted that the official visit of Uzbekistan’s foreign minister is a vivid confirmation of the high level of strategic partnership and friendly relations between the two countries.
Bakhtiyor Saidov conveyed greetings and warm wishes from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reaffirming his commitment to making every effort to implement the agreements reached at the level of the heads of state.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov conveyed a message to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and wished the Uzbek foreign minister success in his important state duties.
