As earlier reported, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev pays official visit to Uzbekistan on 16-17 March on invitation of his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev welcomed the Kazakh leader at the Tashkent airport, UzA reported.

The report said the main events of the visit are scheduled for 17 March. Leaders of two states will exchange opinion on bilateral relations, regional and international issues of mutual interest.

It is planned that on the result of talks, the sides will sign several bilateral documents directed at developing interaction between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
