Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will visit Uzbekistan on a state visit from 22 to 23 August.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the visit, high-level talks will be held in Tashkent, and the first session of the High-Level Intergovernmental Council will be conducted under the leadership of the two countries' leaders.
The main topics of the summit will be the deepening and expansion of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
Special attention will be given to increasing mutual trade turnover, developing new cooperative projects, strengthening business contacts, including interregional interactions, leveraging transport and communication potential, and fostering cultural and humanitarian ties.
Additionally, the presidents are scheduled to meet with business representatives from both countries and participate in several business and cultural events.
