The document adopted in line with the law “On limiting sales and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products”.

The resolution introduced changes and amendments to the resolution of the Uzbek President “On measures on further ordering retail trade of alcohol products” from 16 March 2007. The document introduces several changes to sales and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products.

In particular, changes and amendments were introduced to regulation on order on issuing permission of certificate for retail trade of alcohol products. The document said that chairperson and members of the commission are responsible for issuing permission certificates to legal entities, which do not meet requirements of the legislation.

According to the resolution, trade points, realizing tobacco and alcohol products, should locate at least 500 meters away from educational, sport and religious establishments.

At the same time, trade points should have posters with warning that sales of alcohol products is prohibited to people under the age of 20 and about negative impact of alcohol to health of people.
