The session summed up results of social-economic development of Uzbekistan for 2013 and approved main priorities of economic programmes for 2014.

Speaking at the session, Uzbek leader said that the external debt made up 17% to GDP in 2013 and about 60% of the volume of exports. At the same time, Islam Karimov said internal debt is equal to zero.

He said that this is result of deeply thoughtful and measured approach to attract foreign investments and foreign loans.

As earlier reported, as of 1 January 2013 the size of aggregate external debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 16% to GDP.
