President: External debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 16% to GPD
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The size of the external debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 16% to the GDP, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said on Friday, 6 December 2013.
Speaking at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the 21st anniversary of Constitution of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov said that the external debt of the country makes up 16% to the GDP of Uzbekistan.
He said that the volume of exports and gold-currency reserves of Uzbekistan also increased.
It is worth to mention that this is the lowest figures among the world. In line with international criteria, this is the less then moderate level of the debt.
