President departs for Surkhandarya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to participate in the opening ceremony of the International Bakhshi Art Festival in Termez left for Surkhandarya region today.

In accordance with the presidential decree of November 1, 2018, this festival was preceded by large-scale preparation. The construction and landscaping work has been carried out, all conveniences have been created for the contestants and the guests of the festival.

A cultural and educational program was prepared, including performances of folklore and ethnographic ensembles, excursions to historical monuments, a scientific conference and various exhibitions.

The festival will last until 10 April.
