President approves protocol on abolishing agreement on creation of CIS ICC
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On approval of international agreement” on 4 February 2014.

With his resolution, the Uzbek leader approved a protocol on abolishing agreement on creation of Intergovernmental currency committee from 26 May 1995.

The protocol was signed at the session of the Council of the heads of the states of the CIS on 25 October 2013 in Minsk (Belarus).

Islam Karimov Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan to send notification to the depository on execution of internal procedures, necessary for entrance of the document into force.

Intergovernmental currency committee (ICC) was created in line with the decision of the Council of the heads of the states of the CIS from 26 May 1995 in Minsk as Council of authorized representatives – heads of Ministries of Finance and National (Central) banks and other state bodies.

The goal of the ICC was to help to organize multilateral cooperation in currency-payment and credit relations, improve currency legislation, develop forms and methods of coordination monetary-credit and currency policy of the member states of the agreement on creation of payment union of the CIS states, as well as cooperate and implement agreed measures on currency control.
