President approves additional measures for implementation of Obod Qishloq program in 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On additional measures to implement the program “Obod Qishloq” in 2019”.

Within the programme, construction and improvement works will be carried out in 478 villages of 159 districts in which more than 1.6 million people live, 4.8 trillion soums will be allocated for the implementation of these measures.

It is planned 5,476 km of roads (internal streets) will be repaired and reconstructed. About 1.3 trillion soums will be directed to landscape villages.

More than 36 thousand night street lighting systems with a total length of 2,458 km, as well as 21 communication systems will be improved.

It is planned to build 556 bus stops and 189 modern buses will be purchased for 46.3 billion soums.

In order to improve the drinking water supply system, 2,219 km of new networks and 221 water facilities will be built, and 729 km of networks and 163 water facilities will be reconstructed.

The electricity and gas supply system will be improved as 361 billion soums will be directed to this directions.

It is planned to renovate 214,200 individual residential houses and 1,182 apartment houses. The territory of 378 apartment houses will be landscaped.

According to the document, 280 pre-school educational institutions, 510 schools, 237 health facilities and 439 other social facilities will be constructed and repaired.

A total of 2,532 market infrastructure facilities will be built and repaired. 296 km of irrigation and 1 538 km of land reclamation facilities will be constructed and repaired, 584 km of irrigation facilities will be cleaned.
