National stand of Uzbekistan, which was decorated with works of artisans, traditional costumes and fabrics, ceramic products was presented at international cultural center of Odawara city.

The guests familiarized with history, culture and traditions of the Uzbek people, architectural monuments of ancient cities of Uzbekistan such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and tourism sights of Uzbekistan.

Video materials, brochures and print products presented information on hospitality of Uzbekistan, development of tourism infrastructure in the country.

Mayor of Odaware city Kenichi Kato told to Jahon news agency that major part of the visitors to Uzbekistan’s stand shows growing interest of Japanese people in rich historic-cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and its modern development. He highly rated economic, tourism and cultural-humanitarian potential of Uzbekistan and further promotion of collaboration between the regions of Uzbekistan and Japan.

Kato affirmed the readiness to do his best to establish bilateral relations between Odawara city and cities of Uzbekistan.
