Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the capital of Russia, the Embassy of Uzbekistan, together with the International Society of Wine and Gourmet Lovers and the International Enogastronomic Center, organized a presentation of the gastronomic tourism of our country, Dunyo news agency reported.

Well-known entrepreneurs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, food and beverage manufacturers, chefs and observers of popular media were invited to the event.

Advisor to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia, Shokhrukh Gulamov, chairman of the Moscow branch of the International Society of Wine and Gourmet Lovers, Leonid Gelibterman and others, noted that thanks to the transformations carried out in recent years, tourism in Uzbekistan has been developing dynamically, turning into a strategic sector of the national economy. The consistent measures being implemented in the country ensured its openness to the outside world and the attractiveness of the republic for doing business, which is manifested in the rapid growth of tourist flow to Uzbekistan and the volume of attracted foreign investment.

It was emphasized that in Uzbekistan special attention is paid to the full use of its historically established advantages for the development of tourism. The rich and diverse Uzbek cuisine is one of the strongest factors that can attract the attention of even the most sophisticated gourmets from anywhere in the world. In this regard, the meeting participants were informed about the history and varieties of Uzbek national dishes, their preparation technologies, spices and spices, and the rules for serving the table. The guests are presented with various dishes of Uzbek cuisine, sweets and drinks, which were highly appreciated due to their rich palette of taste sensations. The main treat of the event was a festive pilaf, once again proving its status as the king of Uzbek cuisine.
