Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Today, on 28 June, a solemn event was held dedicated to the establishment of the “Alliance of Logistics Centers and Cargo Carriers” under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), and the meeting of the Alliance participants.
The event was opened by the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, moderator Mirvahid Azimov.
First Deputy Minister of Transport Mamanbiy Omarov, who took part in the event, expressed confidence that the new structure will make a worthy contribution to the development of the transport industry, increasing cargo flows and creating favorable conditions for carriers.
The OTS territory with a population of 160 million people is considered a region with great economic opportunities and transport potential.
Only coordinated joint actions of all OTS countries in this direction will make it possible to form a unified, developed and efficiently functioning transport network, said Omarov.
The Alliance of Logistics Centers and Shippers under the Organization of the Turkic States was created to promote the development of cargo and logistics centers in the OTS member countries.
The alliance unites in this direction legal entities and individuals engaged in logistics and shipping, engineering work, as well as consulting services.
Expanding effective cooperation between large logistics centers, shippers, terminals, sea and land ports in Turkic countries, increasing the transport and logistics potential of the entire region through the introduction of innovative solutions is one of the main goals of the alliance.
