Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On the eve of Youth Day, in accordance with the decree and resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a group of active youth making a worthy contribution to the development of Uzbekistan was awarded the “Kelajak Bunyodkori” medals and the state prize “Mard uglon”.
On 28 June, the ceremony of presenting these awards took place at the Kuksaroy residence. At the beginning of his speech, the head of our state congratulated the youth on Youth Day and expressed his best wishes to them.
– Getting acquainted with the achievements, goals and plans of our youth, I receive great energy and inspiration. “I am glad that we have such great opportunities for the construction of New Uzbekistan,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Today, in every sphere of life - in public administration, economics, science and education, sports and culture - special attention is paid to youth. Youth parliaments operate at the chambers of the Oliy Majlis. Every institution in our country has a youth adviser.
The state and society are strong thanks to physically and spiritually developed youth with modern knowledge and technology. Therefore, the education system is developing dramatically. Presidential schools, creative schools and specialized schools, higher educational institutions serve to educate qualified personnel. In IT parks, creative and technology parks, cultural and sports centers, young people do what they love and develop their abilities.
Young people who effectively use these conditions achieve great success in science, sports, culture, art and other fields, glorifying New Uzbekistan throughout the world.
Last academic year alone, 55 of our students won 8 gold, 15 silver and 32 bronze medals at prestigious international olympiads in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics and computer science.
At prestigious international competitions in culture and art, 383 of our young participants won main prizes, and about 1,400 won first places.
Over the past 2 years, our athletes have won more than 900 gold, over 550 silver and 731 bronze medals at international competitions. Recently, at the Asian Football Cup in Qatar, our team was able to win an Olympic berth for the first time in the history of Uzbekistan.
– With your achievements you create a new story. I am confident that, together with the great achievements of our people, these results will become part of the history of New Uzbekistan and the Third Renaissance,” the President emphasized.
The state youth policy of our country is receiving international recognition. For example, last year Uzbekistan was recognized as one of the fastest growing countries in the field of youth policy according to the Youth Development Index. More than 60 initiatives to support youth, their involvement in state and public administration, and solving important socio-economic issues have been approved by the international community.
These days, the World Youth Festival is taking place in the beautiful city of Samarkand. This also demonstrates international recognition.
Then President Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented state awards to the youth.
– Your achievements are the beginning of a long journey. The state can create conditions, someone can help. But your future depends only on you. I support all our young people on this path, I wish them success on the path to their dreams,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The awardees expressed gratitude to the head of our state for his high trust and attention, for the opportunities created for young people, and emphasized that they would achieve great success in their studies and work, justifying the trust of our people.
The event was attended by representatives of government and public organizations, intellectuals and parents.
