Russia not take part in the draw for the qualifying round of EURO 2024

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian team will not take part in the draw for the qualifying round of the 2024 European Championship, which will be held on 9 October in Frankfurt. 

The reason is UEFA’s February decision to suspend the participation of Russian national teams and clubs in competitions under the auspices of the organization, by default acting "until further notice." It was stated by the Russian Football Union.

This decision was challenged by the RFU at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS), which denied the appeal in July.

The Union is currently awaiting the full text of the CAS decision, following the study of which a decision will be made on further steps in the framework of legal protection.
