During the sixth plenum of Political Council of the party, the decision was adopted to nominate chairperson of Political Council of Adolat Nariman Umarov as candidate to the post of President of the country.

In line with the charter of the party, candidacy of the President should be approved at the session of the party. The party’s session will take place on 15 October 2016.

Nariman Umarov is a head of faction of PDPU at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan of new convocation and vice-speaker of the lower house of the Uzbek parliament.

Elections of the President of Uzbekistan will be held on 4 December 2016.
