AGMK posts net income for 137.273 bn soums in 2012

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Net income of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK, Tashkent region) grew from 128.921 billion soums in 2011 to 137.273 billion soums in 2012.
According to the data of the company, net revenue rose from 1.48 trillion soums in 2011 to 1.695 trillion soums in 2012. Prime cost made up 928.659 billion soums in 2012 against 772.382 billion soums in 2011.
AGMK’s gross income grew from 707.757 billion soums in 2011 to 766.86 billion soums in 2012. Expenses increased from 491.451 billion soums to 560.867 billion soums in the reporting period.
Other income from main activities reached 184.919 billion soums in 2012 against 140.553 billion soums in 2011. Income from main activity rose from 356.858 billion soums to 390.912 billion soums in the reporting period.
Income from financial activities increased from 22.319 billion soums in 2011 to 33.94 billion soums in 2012. Expenses from financial income grew from 64.735 billion soums to 73.895 billion soums in the reporting period.
AGMK directed 128.777 billion soums to special investment accounts to finance investment projects, including on copper – 63.676 billion soums and on gold – 65.1 billion soums.
The assets made up 2.576 trillion soums in 2012 to 2.078 trillion soums in 2011, the company’s report said. Long-term assets rose from 1.135 trillion soums to 1.387 trillion soums, current assets – from 943.336 billion soums to 1.189 trillion soums in the reporting period.
The company’s own capital hit 1.746 trillion soums in 2012 against 1.409 trillion soums in 2011. The charter capital grew from 161.488 billion soums in 2011 to 198.182 billion soums in 2012. Undistributed income of the combine jumped from 368.418 billion soums to 801.766 billion soums in the reporting period.
Liabilities of the AGMK grew from 668.732 billion soums in 2011 to 829.908 billion soums in 2012. Long-term liabilities rose from 490.733 billion soums to 666.916 billion soums in the reporting period, current assets fell from 177.988 billion soums to 162.992 billion soums.
AGMK is a largest copper producer in Central Asia. It owns right to develop copper-molybdenum and lead-zinc fields in the Tashkent region.
The company produces refined copper /cathodes/, including supply of copper concentrate based on tolling and due to processing of scrap metal zinc, lead concentrate and other products. The share of AGMK makes up about 90% of silver and 20% gold production in the country.
