Uzbek-Russian trade turnover reaches US$6.378bn in 2010

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$6,377.6 million in 2010 or grew by 43.4% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

According to the committee, exports of Uzbekistan increased by 96.76% year-on-year to US$4,441.2 million in 2010.

The volume of imports from Russia to Uzbekistan decreased from US$2,190.7 million in 2009 to US$1,936.4 million in 2010.

Russia remains as the largest trade partner of Uzbekistan in 2010. Last year, share of Russia in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up 29.2%.

Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan increased b 3% year-on-year in 2010 and made up US$21.842 billion. At the same time, trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) made up US$9.424 billion (+17.7%) and other states - US$12.418 billion (-5.9%).
