Lanekstrakt exports Glycyrrhiza flour

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Lanekstrakt exported over 160 tonnes of Glycyrrhiza flour in the first half of 2010. In 2009, the enterprise produced and exported 308 tonnes of product.
Lanekstrakt, which locates at Chimbai district of Karakalpakstan, was founded in cooperation with China’s Luoyang Lanbing four years ago. The venture started operations a year later. The charter capital of the enterprise is US$3.2 million.
The venture processes licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra). The plant grows in valley and delta of Amudarya, riparian forest, channels, etc. This is herbal plant, widely used in pharmaceuticals.
Currently, the enterprise started to assembly the second production line. Soon, modern equipment will be commissioned.
