Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The consultations were attended by delegations from both countries, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov.

During the talks, the parties discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, covering political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Both sides noted the high dynamics in the development of cooperation and expressed readiness to further deepen the partnership.

The importance of consistently strengthening political dialogue at various levels, including high and top levels, was emphasized. The parties agreed to jointly develop mechanisms for organizing visits and exchanges of delegations, as well as to expand the legal and contractual framework of bilateral relations.

As part of the visit, the Uzbek delegation also held a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The two sides discussed prospects for further cooperation and the implementation of previously reached agreements.
