Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 November, pianist Behzod Abduraimov, a laureate of international prizes and a resident of the International Center for Music at the University of Park in Missouri (USA), will host a charity concert at the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan”.
The musician will perform the first concert of Pyotr Tchaikovsky together with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the direction of conductor Shokh Sadykov. This was reported by the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art at and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Behzod Abduraimov and Shokh Sadykov are graduates of the legendary Republican Specialized Musical Academic Lyceum named after V. Uspensky. The concert in Tashkent will be performed in honor of the 80th anniversary of the lyceum. Part of the invitation cards will be received by students, graduates and teachers of the institution. In addition, cultural workers and representatives of creative professions of Uzbekistan will be invited to the concert.
In 2009, Behzod Abduraimov won the London International Competition. He made a triumphant debut at the London Wigmore Hall (2010). He has performed with leading orchestras of the world, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony, the NHK Orchestra (Japan), the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and other famous orchestras.
Behzod Abduraimov is one of the most sought-after young pianists of our time. He performed in the main concert hall of New York Carnegie Hall with the performance of Chopin, Debussy and Mussorgsky. The musician collaborated with leading conductors of our time: Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazi, Lorenzo Viotti, James Gaffigan and Santo Matias Ruvali.
In recent years he has toured in Asia with the Japanese orchestra Yomiuri Nippon, the Philharmonic Orchestras of Beijing and Seoul, the orchestra of the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and has performed a successful solo tour in Australia, touring the USA and other countries of the world.
Behzod Abduraimov said: “My dream is to make Tashkent the cultural capital of Central Asia. I want to establish a music festival of world significance in Tashkent, invite stars. Now I’m already at that age when I can not only share my experience, but also inspire the younger generation, I consider it my responsibility. ”
The concert is organized by the V. Uspensky Republican Specialized Musical Academic Lyceum with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
