Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 May, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Uzbek leader warmly congratulated the Kazakh president on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, continued success in his important state duties, and prosperity to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, they discussed current issues related to deepening Uzbek-Kazakh relations, which are founded on principles of good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and allied ties.

The parties also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral contacts and participation in multilateral events.

Special attention was given to advancing joint efforts to shape a renewed agenda for practical cooperation covering priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, development of efficient logistics, agriculture, tourism, education, and cultural exchange.
