Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia is ready to cooperate in the field of gas supplies with Uzbekistan, and the opportunities for this are very extensive, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
He noted that cooperation in the field of gas supplies covers three countries: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia.
“There are many opportunities in this area, and Russia is open to it. This is a mutually beneficial cooperation,” he said in an interview with Channel One.
Peskov also emphasized that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at the Tashkent airport, noting that the Uzbek leader “treats our president kindly, they have very warm personal relations.”
