Passenger car production in Uzbekistan declined by 4.39% in January.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January 2025, Uzbekistan produced 14,968 passenger cars, marking a 4.39% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the Statistics Agency.
UzAuto Motors manufactured 5,660 Cobalt vehicles in the first month of 2025, reflecting a 68% increase from the previous year. In contrast, Damas production dropped by 28.5% to 2,765 units. The output of Tracker vehicles decreased by 1.5% to 1,334 units, while Onix, on the contrary, recorded a 74.9% increase, reaching 1,462 units.
Production of Chery vehicles in Uzbekistan fell by 58.1% to 594 units, while KIA output declined by 25.2% to 1,978 vehicles. At the same time, Haval production surged sixfold, reaching 373 units, while BYD vehicles were manufactured in a quantity of 802.
Additionally, in January 2025, the country produced 643 specialized passenger cars, a 30.2% decrease compared to the same period last year.
